What is the Server Console?

The server console is a web-based interface that allows you to view your server's output in real-time and send commands directly to your server (sometimes). It provides a convenient way to manage your server without needing to use SSH or SFTP, making it accessible from any web browser. SSH can be used to access the server console, but it is not required, and some features may be limited when using SSH.

How to Access the Server Console

There are two ways to access the server console on the Bytevora platform:

  1. Web Console: You can access the server console directly from your server dashboard on the Bytevora platform. Simply navigate to your server's dashboard and click on the "Console" tab to view the real-time output of your server and send commands.
  2. SSH Console: If you have SSH access to your server, you can also access the server console through your SSH client. Once you are connected to your server via SSH, you will be able to see the real-time output of your server and send commands directly from your SSH terminal.

Power Actions

The server console also allows you to perform power actions on your server, such as starting, stopping, restarting, or killing the server. These actions can be performed on the server console page by clicking on the corresponding buttons. You can also do this via SSH, more information on that can be found in the SSH Commands section of the SSH and SFTP documentation.

Console Commands

Console commands are only available in certain conditions. In most cases, your server will not respond to commands sent. In other cases, only a limited set of commands may be available. You can also use the console to send information to your script if its setup for that, such as with an input.
